I have written several post recently about the Japanese Drama, Good Morning Call. Since the drama is a romantic comedy, I thought why not write about celebrating Valentine’s Day with Good Morning Call.
If you are lost about what to do on Valentine’s day and even if you never have seen the drama, here are some ways you can celebrate Valentine’s Day with Good Morning Call.
Let’s Start With Gifts
There are a variety of crafts that I created from this drama that can be made. Be sure to click the pictures to go to the posts you want to see.
Let’s start with the checkered picture frame craft. This craft is a somewhat masculine design, but girls will also love it for the work and thought that was put into it.
A Tarepanda keychain is another cute project that will show your significant other that you care. Pandas symbolizes peace and friendship. So it might be better to make this one for your best friend unless your significant other loves pandas.
This last gift is my favorite. I made one for my husband and I think it’s so cute! These can be hung anywhere to remind your significant other of the love you have for him/her. Typically in Japan a wish is written on the back, so if your brave enough you can write you wishes for the future.
Yummy Food
The way to anyone’s heart is through the stomach with delicious food.
These croquettes won the stomach of Nao’s dad for her mom and I’m sure they will work on anyone else.
These cabbage rolls were not only delicious, but they are also cute! There were Uehara’s favorite food. After you eat them, you will know why. They are so yummy!
Sweets
You can’t have Valentine’s day without any sweets.
This post is about they way Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Japan as well as a recipe for making delicious chocolate. In Good Morning Call, Nao makes a cake, but my baking isn’t the best and plus chocolate is more traditional anyway.
Different couples have different foods that mean something to them. In Good Morning call, milk pudding was the special food. You can make this pudding for someone you like to show too.
Thank you for reading! Tell me how you Good Morning Call Valentine’s Day goes.
