The characters in the Korean Drama, I Am Not a Robot don’t go many places. So this will be a short post. But the places they do go seem like interesting places to visit.
Gyeongui Line Forest Park
Episode 9 of I am Not a Robot, Min Myu is decides to stop the car and suggest they go walking. The area that they are walking in is called the Gyeongui Line Forest Park. The park was once a railroad that dates back to almost 100 years ago. When the park was placed underground. A park was built above ground. The park is popular for its green space and its urban culture. You can learn Seoul history, as well as stop by trendy artsy neighborhoods, like Hongdae. You can also find young artists at Dongjin Market. On Saturday, artist gather to sell their works. Visitors can also walk or ride a bike up Ansan Mountain Jarak-gil. This Korea’s gentlest biking path.

Hong Joo’s Restaurant
In episode 21, Ji Ah runs off to Geoje to clear her mind from everything that has happened. She goes to Hong Joo’s restaurant. Min Kyu follows Ji ah. So Ji Ah says her name is Hong Joo and that it is her grandma.
The actually name of the restaurant is Su-san Jayeonsan Hoejip ( Su-san Jayeonsan Raw Fish Restaurant). It sounds like a place I might never visit. It is located in the city Hokdong-ri on Geoje island.

Geoje Suhyup Fish Market
Also in episode 21, Jo Ji Ah helps her grandma get fish from the market at the Geoje Suhyup fish Market. The market is located at the harbor of Gujora-ri on Geoje Island.

Hwangmaesan
In the beginning of the drama, Min Kyu promised “Aji 3” that he’ll take her to Hwangmaesan to see the meteor shower. Near the end, they met up at the mountain to discuss everything. While there, there is an enormous tree behind them with the stars and the meteor shining bright.
Hwangmaesan is a mountain located in Hapcheaon in Gyeongnam province. The mountain is known for its Azalea blooms during the spring. But after research, I discover that they don’t actually go to the mountain. Where they really go is…
Mt. Seongheungsan Love Tree
Mt. Seongheungsan Love Tree is a really really old tree. It’s a 400 years old (approximately) Zelkova Tree. It is on top of Mt. Seongheungsan (if you couldn’t guess) and it’s apart of Garimseong Fortress. The fortress is from the Baekje era.
