I have written so much this year. But there is still more posts that I planned to write and didn’t get to, so if you come to visit and see some posts that weren’t there before that is why. This year I had over 21,000 views from 14,000 visitors which is considerable more than last year where I only had 4,000 views and 3,000 visitors. Thank you for visiting my blog and if there is ever a drama/movie/book you would like to me to see or write about just let me know. This 2018 year in review post is about the most viewed blog posts of 2018. So here they are:
See the 2017 list here.
10. You’re My Destiny Drama Review
Last Year, You’re My Destiny came in at number 1. This year it got moved to the number 10 spot. It is still receiving a lot of love. The Thai version was released last year is the reason I assumed this was searched and so I decided to write about the Thai version, which ended up not getting as many views.
9. Drama Travel Spots: Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days
The Good Morning Call travel spots are a mixture of all the places they went in the drama. They did a good job of getting out of the Tokyo area, which most of the dramas seem to be in. Some of the travel spots were difficult to find, but I felt so proud finding them, like the H.C. Anderson Park as well as Flower Land (maybe…I’m still not sure if it was the right spot). Those were hard places to find, so I’m glad this one is in the top.
8. Cabbage Roll Recipe
Last year, the cabbage rolls were at the number 4 spot. This was yummy and delicious, but a lot of work. I wondered how many readers were able to make them. Here are some other recipes of 2018 that were also delicious.
- Sweet and Sour Ribs (Meteor Garden)
- Rueben’s Beef Ribs (The Hate U Give)
- Green Chicken Curry (You’re My Destiny Thai)
- Rice Balls (I am Not a Robot)
- Hjørdis’ Open-Face Sandwich (Rita Season 1)
7. Good Morning Call Drama Review
This is the drama that I launched the blog with and it’s amazing how two years later it is still well read. This drama ended up being the theme of 2017 and it seems like readers still love it in 2018. I reviewed several other dramas (mostly Korean) this year.
6. Yoshikawa Korokke Recipe
Last year, this was in the number 7 spot. It seems like more readers were interested in eating these. I recently went to a Japanese restaurant and tried some real deal Korokke. They were heavenly. Beautiful and crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. I hope that mine to come out like that one day.
5. Good Morning Kiss Manga
This is new to the list. The Good Morning Kiss Manga review was released right before I wrote about Our Campus Days. I read the manga in hopes of finding out what happens in Our Campus Days, but the drama writer took a different turn (for the better). Here are some other manga that I have written about.
4. Boys Over Flowers Travel Spots
Boys Over Flowers Travel Spots was very popular. I think a lot of readers have already seen the drama, so they didn’t read the review as much. But they did want to read about the travel spots. Here are some other travel spots I’ve written about this year.
3. Milk Pudding Recipe
This milk pudding recipe moved down one spot from number two to number three. This is the most popular recipe and I haven’t heard any feedback on if anyone has made it and what they thought of it. If you have made, I would like to know. Here are some other desserts that I have attempted.
- Bua Loy (You’re My Destiny Thai)
- Chocolate-Covered Pretzels (A White Rose)
- Valentine’s Chocolate (Good Morning Call)
2. Good Morning Call Travel Spots
Last year, you would find this post in the number six spot, but it has moved up considerably. I ended up writing the post closer to the end of the year because I wrote a similar post for Playful Kiss and I thought I’d do the same for this drama.
1. Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days Drama Review
The number one spot for this year is Good Morning Call: Our Campus Days. I released my posts about this in December 2017. If the drama was released earlier than I would have more views on it. I wasn’t expecting this one to take the number one spot, but it has.
It seems as though Good Morning Call has dominated the blog this year. Good Morning Call took over 80% of the list here and for good reason. For next year I want to spend more time writing about Japanese dramas–that is if I can find them. Also I want to have more books and movies to write about as well. I find myself consuming more than creating and that is how I get behind. Let’s hope I can change that. Thank you for being here and I hope to entertain and share with you more in the coming year. Happy New Year!
